First Principles
Customers buy outcomes, not commodities.
Organizations create value by solving problems, not simply delivering products.
Experience becomes capital when it's captured.
Knowledge locked inside individuals is fragile. Knowledge embedded in systems compounds.
Operational design creates competitive advantage.
The strongest organizations rarely win because they own more assets. They win because they design better systems around the assets they already have.
Execution is a financial strategy.
Better communication, supplier alignment, workflows, and decision-making don't just improve operationsâthey improve cash flow, profitability, and enterprise value.
Great businesses aren't built by accident.
They are built by design.
Why EDGE
Most Organizations Don't Have A Revenue Problem
They Have A Visibility And Execution Problem.
Organizations often focus on acquiring new customers, increasing sales, and expanding operations.
Yet many overlook opportunities already existing within their business.
Disconnected systems, fragmented supplier management, inconsistent processes, and limited operational visibility can create margin leakage, inefficiencies, and missed opportunities for growth.
The EDGE Framework helps organizations design systems that improve execution, strengthen cash flow, and create lasting competitive advantage.
The objective is not simply to do more.
The objective is to create more value from what already exists.

About Josh
Operational Experience. National Perspective. Measurable Business Performance.
EDGE Framework⢠was developed through more than fifteen years working alongside fuel suppliers, equipment rental companies, construction firms, fleets, power generation providers, utilities, and emergency response organizations across the United States.
I thought I was learning the fuel business.
Looking back, I was learning how organizations create value.
For nearly two decades I've had the opportunity to work alongside organizations operating in equipment rental, construction, transportation, power generation, emergency response, utilities, and industrial markets. Supporting customers in nearly every U.S. state provided a unique opportunity to observe how supplier performance, technology, communication, incentives, and operational execution influence business performance across a wide range of environments.
What began as managing fuel programs evolved into something much broader. Working alongside customers, suppliers, dispatchers, operations managers, drivers, executives, and technology providers revealed recurring patterns that consistently separated high-performing organizations from the rest. Regardless of industry, the same themes surfaced repeatedly: visibility, supplier alignment, communication, accountability, incentives, and execution.
Those experiences led to a simple realization:
Competitive advantage rarely comes from the commodity itself.
It comes from how an organization is designed to execute.
The EDGE Framework emerged from those observations. It provides a structured approach to helping asset-intensive organizations improve operational visibility, align suppliers, strengthen execution, improve cash flow, and identify opportunities to increase profitability, EBITDA, and long-term enterprise value.
The goal isn't simply to improve operations. It's to build organizations that perform better because they're designed better.
Visibility, communication, coordination, and execution remain the common characteristics of high-performing organizations.

The Hidden Cost Of Fragmented Procurement
Fuel taught me about diesel, Experience taught me about operations, Operations taught me about cash flow.
And cash flow taught me that the biggest opportunities are rarely hidden inside the numbers.
Theyâre hidden inside the systems that create them.
